You will find our short news for April 2023 below:
- The Financial Administration published the anticipated appearance of forms related to windfall tax liabilities; once the legislative process is completed, these forms will be included in Regulation No. 525/2020 Coll., on Income Tax Forms, as subsequently amended, and will be accessible in the form database.
- The Financial Administration closed down 77 regional offices of Tax Offices, and it will offer expanded services to citizens, including mobile services in municipalities during tax campaigns. Consultancy services will be provided via phone contact lines. Personal contact and assistance to tax entities in connection with tax returns’ filing (namely in relation to immovable property tax and individual income tax) will be arranged by Tax Office staff members during their trips to relevant municipalities.
- The Financial Administration published information for immovable property tax payers who had a data box established under law in 2023. The Financial Administration will send information regarding paying taxes for 2023 to such taxpayers.
- The Financial Administration started delivering information on paying immovable property tax for 2023.
- Please remember that the deadline for filing an electronic income tax return expires on 2 May 2023; this date is also the final date for paying the tax. Tax returns can be filed via a data box or through the MOJE daně (MY Taxes) portal.
- The Financial Administration informs VAT payers about the regulation issued by the Ministry of Finance under no. 112/2023 Coll. on 26 April 2023. The original form regulation was expanded to include an e-form of an inspection report and guidance on completing it. However, the above-mentioned regulation does not change the content, form and structure of the inspection report.
- The Government of the Czech Republic approved an amendment to the Labour Code on 5 April 2023. Among other things, this amendment regulates the information duty of employers with regard to an employment relationship’s content, changes in the area of agreements outside the employment relationship (e.g. provision of all impediments or regulations regarding vacation), new rules applicable to remote working, or serving written documents. We are monitoring the legislative process and will keep you posted about any developments.
- The average price of fuels for electricity for the purpose of reimbursing travel expenses for 2023 was increased effective as of 1 April 2023 to CZK 8.20 (from the original CZK 6.00).
